The Ready Nashville initiative is a yearlong partnership between the American Red Cross and St. Luke’s that is intended to help make our community a safer and more prepared place for people to live, work and play. “The cornerstone of this partnership is to promote readiness throughout the year through a variety of different ways such as teaching fire safety, CPR and babysitting skills, and disaster preparedness training,” said Red Cross Regional CEO, Joel Sullivan. On January 19th, 2015 Ready Nashville volunteers canvassed St. Luke’s service area to hand out information concerning fire safety and to install smoke alarms in unequipped homes.
